Snow Days
Monday evening dude and I got stuck in the snow on the side of the road for 2.5 hours, we were only a 5 minute drive from home. Although my bladder wasn't too happy about the evening events... dude was having a blast and requested to get stuck again Tuesday night. I was unable to deliver on the stranded-for-multiple-non-urination-hours, but school has been closed the last two days... which I think is a fairly good consolation prize.

New Name! Great New Taste! Same Great Nutrition!
This is what the little pamphlet that fell out of the cat food bag tells me. Apparently some cat complained about being called senior, because now the senior formula of our cat food will be called "Mature Adult". I assure you it wasn't my cats, they are far from politically correct. Seriously though... what the hell.
Herding Cats
Yesterday J and I helped chaperon dude's preschool class on a field trip to the bowling alley. We all survived public transit, pouring rain, wind, and the wandering preschooler. It was a lot of fun... and extremely tiring. Next time we plan to hit the local pub after kids are dropped back off at school for their lunch and nap. Yeah, that sounds like a really good plan.
All he wants for Christmas
Dude understands that Santa will be making his way here soon, so he has begun his extensive list. Last year all he wanted was cereal and a ton of macaroni and cheese. This year he has topped his list with... cat litter. He said he wants to get it from Santa, so that he can give it to the cats. He is one sweet kid.
